Is there's actually nothing in a name or everything in a name ?

Recently I had to avail "OLA Share", where there were two colleagues from same MNC who traveled along with me. One of the colleagues was married and she has a one year old kid whose name was "Trisanku", which is very unique.

Then I was about to read some article on a website, I got this news from another co-passenger that her friend has delivered a baby girl and her name is "Uvasakhii", it's combination of baby's dad's and mom's name. I thought it would be a new trend all together.

I googled immediately - I got to know that baby's parents would be super excited and happy because they kept really an unique name since GOOGLE couldn't recognize it at all and it couldn't throwback the meaning at all.

Lady 1 was like, You know my niece name is "PINKITHA", you would love to know the reason "It seems her dad likes Ankita name and her mom likes Pink color it's a combination".

I remembered famous Shakespearean quote which says: A rose, no matter what you call it, smells sweet. So, there's actually nothing in a name, at all? I again ask. Maybe, maybe not.

As I wanted to put across my words and put a full stop to my abstract and wandering thoughts, there should be a striking balance between uniqueness and commonness.

The name should have a meaning and having/putting a unique is good thing but it should be sensible. We should neither do this due to peer pressure nor to make sure/ prove to the family/colleagues/friends that we are best/unique in everything we land up. What if the kids feel bad if someone couldn't pronounce their name properly or ask them the meaning of it and they have no answer to it.

We all are common people and being common is quite a normal and acceptable thing. It can be still cool sometimes. Our children need to understand that to be normal and be like a common person/kid. We shouldn't force them to be unique and extraordinary in all the ways. Even though they get 70% or 90% we love them as it should be.

Trying to be the best is great but we should not lose the essence of our existence in the process of being the best. Knowing when to perfectly blend being unique with being common is the ideal thing :-)

PS: Just my opinion and no personal/intentional targets.
